Bruxism is a temporomandibular joint disorder.  It has syphtoms such as teeth grinding and jaw clenching, generally when sleeping or when you are anxious or nervous.

It can be due to many reasons. A trauma on the joint, chewing on one side, lack of tooth, clenching or grinding may cause this disorder. Stress is another factor. This situation that leads to teeth grinding and jaw glenching causes jaw contractions.

Ringing in the ears, sound when opening or closing the mouth, click sounds, opening your mouth in a limited way or locking of the mouth, ache in neck, dizziness, fainting, ache while chewing, ache while closing the teeth on top of each other, tiredness in jaw while chewing, having a hard time yawning are the main symptoms of temporomandibular joint disorders.

Bruxism, can be treated with transparent plaques specially designed for the these plaques are checked and fitted at certain intervals and by this way the muscles, teeth and joint health is obtained. Bruxism is also treated with botox. Botox practice on the biggest chewing muscle masseter, bruxism can be prevented.
